Rooted in Unity, Strengthened by Ideology

The Bharathiya Postal Employees Association (BPEA) is more than a standalone union — it is an integral part of a larger, values-driven movement committed to the service and upliftment of the Indian workforce. Our strength, reach, and effectiveness are enhanced by our affiliations with two powerful national organizations: the Bharathiya Postal Employees Federation (BPEF) and the Bharathiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS).
These affiliations give BPEA a national character, ideological clarity, and a structured network that spans across states, departments, and sectors. With this alignment, we continue to stand tall as a principled, worker-centric organization that works not just for immediate benefits but for the long-term dignity and empowerment of every postal employee.

About Bharathiya Postal Employees Federation (BPEF)

The BPEF is a federation of postal unions that brings together like-minded associations working under the guidance of Bharathiya Mazdoor Sangh. It serves as a unified platform for advocacy, dialogue, and representation at the highest levels of the postal administration and central government.

Key Highlights of BPEF:

  • A collective body of unions representing thousands of postal workers from various cadres and regions.
  • Founded on the principles of nationalism, service, and integrity, reflecting the vision of BMS.
  • Works towards harmonizing union efforts and avoiding fragmentation of the postal workforce.
  • Plays a central role in policy negotiations, wage discussions, and structural reforms in the Department of Posts.
  • Committed to non-political, non-disruptive methods of unionism that promote national interest along with workers’ rights.

Being a part of BPEF ensures that BPEA remains aligned with a broader strategy for unified action, shared resources, and collective strength.

About Bharathiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS)

The Bharathiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) is the largest trade union organization in India and one of the most respected labor movements globally. What makes BMS unique is its non-political, nationalist approach to trade unionism, which focuses on constructive engagement and long-term solutions for worker welfare.

Key Characteristics of BMS:

  • Founded in 1955 by Shri Dattopant Thengadi, a visionary labor leader and thinker.
  • Operates independently of any political party, ensuring that worker issues are not politicized.
  • Promotes a value-based, ethical form of unionism focused on harmony between labor and management.
  • Works for the economic and moral upliftment of workers, while upholding national integrity and cultural identity.

BPEA’s ideology is deeply inspired by BMS, and our commitment to service before self, discipline over disruption, and nation above all comes from this association.
